The Aspire Conference

Harper Adams University College hosted a one day conference on Tuesday 8 April 2008 to share some of the work arising from the Aspire Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning programme. The event aimed to provide an opportunity for all participants to share their approaches to support and teaching in each of the five Aspire programme's overlapping themes of:

  1. work-based learning
  2. placement learning
  3. professional skills development
  4. e-learning
  5. learner support

and identify opportunities for future joint development work between participants.

The schedule included three parallel sessions in which colleagues shared their developments in:

  • Work-Based Learning for Part-time Students
  • Employability Skills for Full-time Students
  • Supporting Students with People and Technology
