Aspire Student Achievement Scheme
The College wished to recognise and reward students who demonstrated excellence in personal development planning and their academic and professional skills.
Tutors nominated students for their achievements in each of the following:
- excellent performance in the Academic & Professional Development module (twelve prizes each of £30 for each BSc & HND/ Foundation Degree course suite)
- excellent performance in the Research Methods module (six prizes each of £50 for each course suite)
- excellent performance in the personal development plan ('assignment 3') submitted for placement assessment (six prizes each of £50 for each course suite)
- excellent performance in the Work-based Project (six prizes each of £50 for each HND/ Foundation Degree course suite)
- most improved performance across the essential skills modules (one prize for EFDP students of £50)
Tutors from each of the six undergraduate course suites (agriculture; animals and veterinary nurses; business and food; CELT; engineering; and REALM) and the Extended Foundation Degree Programme nominated individuals from each study area. There were awards made to both Foundation Degree / HND and Honours Degree students for performance in the Academic & Professional Development module.
Awards were only made if evidence of excellent achievement had been clearly demonstrated.
