Graduands who have successfully passed all elements of their course of study.

The Ceremony will take place in a large marquee in the University College grounds at 2.30pm on Friday 24 September 2010.

Graduands do not need a ticket, but your guests do. Admittance to the marquee is permitted only with an authorised ticket, which will be checked at the marquee entrance.

You will be sent a letter with your examination results in early July, explaining how to order your guest tickets via the online Registration form which will be on the University College's website. You must confirm whether or not you wish to attend the Graduation Ceremony as soon as possible and not later than Monday 9 August 2010. Your tickets will be sent out by post.

There is a limited number of extra tickets which emanate from those graduands who are unable to attend the Ceremony. There is a waiting list for extra tickets and a request for up to two extra tickets may be made on the Registration form. Allocations are made on a 'first come first served' basis and the tickets will be issued on Graduation Day.

Graduands should be smartly, but simply, dressed as they will be wearing formal academic gowns. Jeans, shorts and trainers are not appropriate.

This consists of a gown, hood and mortar board. These items may be bought or hired directly from J Wippell & Co of Exeter. Orders must be placed online after publication of results in early July at www.wippellgownhire.co.uk. They must be collected by 1pm from the Sports Hall on Graduation Day. You should arrive in good time to collect robes and have your formal photographs taken. This may take a couple of hours. Graduands must be seated in the marquee by 2.15pm, which is 15 minutes before the ceremony commences.

If you wish to have a portrait photograph taken in your academic dress, you must book online at www.edeandravenscroft.com. Photographs will be taken in the Portrait Studio which will be located in the Sports Hall, between 10am and 1.45pm.

All graduands are assigned a specific seat with their name on it, in programme order, according to course and award classification. Guests take their seats separately from graduands and are advised to do so in good time as guest seating is not pre-assigned and fills up very quickly. Guests are admitted by ticket only to the marquee from 1.15pm onwards, and should be seated by 2.15pm.

The Ceremony commences at 2.30pm and finishes at approximately 3.45pm.

Whilst young children are not discouraged from attending, it should be borne in mind that they may get restless during the Ceremony which can be too long for them. Another consideration is that the marquee can get very warm.

The University College will endeavour to make special seating arrangements if contact is made with Susanna Barratt prior to the Ceremony on 01952 815011 giving details of any special requirements.

No. If you cannot attend you will be listed on the programme as graduating in absentia and your certificate will be sent to you by post. Please ensure that the Examinations Office has your correct address details. The Examinations Office can be contacted on 01952 815372.

You will be notified of your result by your Senior Tutor or Course Manager after formal publication of the results in mid-September. If you have passed you will be eligible to graduate and you will need to confirm your attendance at the Ceremony to your Senior Tutor or Course Manager when you are given your results.

If you have unpaid fees or charges, unless you have reached an agreement with the Director of Finance, your results will not be released and you will not be allowed to attend the Graduation Ceremony.

Information will be sent to you, together with confirmation of your results in mid-September. If you have passed, you will be eligible to attend the Graduation Ceremony on Friday 24 September.
