Summer Grass Growth
Research at Harper Adams, led by Peter Kettlewell, has shown that summer grass growth at two sites in southern England tends to be better after a winter with a low index of the climate phenomenon the North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO).
Recent research, funded by The John Oldacre Foundation, has involved: Dr Peter Kettlewell, Dr Mark Atkinson, and Phil Hollins at Harper Adams, and Steven Bentley, Haidee Philpott and Andy Horwell at NIAB.
