Departments and Services
Estates and Facilities
The Estates and Facilities department is responsible for the management, planning, development and maintenance of all campus buildings. The team is also responsible for general portering duties, mail, electrical supply (distribution and installations), water production (treatment and distribution), energy conservation, furniture planning and provision, fire prevention and staff training, lone worker safety system, purchase of fuels, refuse disposal, skips and recycling, telephone installations, contract vehicle hire and minibuses, security services and CCTV system.
Domestic Services
Domestic Services is part of the Estates and Facilities department, and provides cleaning of all residential and non-residential areas; laundry services to students, conferences, catering and other departmental staff.
Exams Office
Located in the Main Building, the Exams Office is responsible for organising the examination timetables, providing amanuensis support and publishing exam results.
Marketing and Communications
Located in the Main Building the Marketing and Communications team is responsible for managing the University College's brand identity, organising HEC and undergraduate open days, managing the University College's website, producing all marketing material and publications (such as the undergraduate prospectus), carrying out market research, providing marketing support and promotion of conference and business club activities, attending shows and Higher Education fairs and managing visits for schools and colleges.
Communications
The primary function of the Communications team, which comprises a print journalist and a video journalist, is to run the Harper Adams University College Press Office; responding to requests for interviews, copy, photographs and video, as well as maintaining a positive presence in the local, regional and national media through the use of targeted press releases. The team also collates, writes and edits copy for awards entries and other corporate documents, coordinates media visits to the campus, and runs the official Harper Adams Twitter (@HarperAdamsUC) and YouTube channels.
Registry
The Registry is located in the Faccenda Centre and is made up of Admissions, Student Records and Student Financial Support.
The team administers all aspects of undergraduate admissions, including the receipt of application forms, arranging of interviews and confirmation of places, as well as arranging both Freshers and Returners registrations. The team also administers a number of scholarships, including the Merit and Means scholarships and a selection from external companies, as well as arranging the payment of student loans.
