Multi-Gym
The gym is open daily from 7am to 9pm and features modern CV equipment including treadmills, cross trainers, rowers and stepper machines along with an extensive free weights and resistance training area.
In order to become a member of the gym you must complete an induction which involves demonstrations and instruction on all machines. Depending on your individual goals, whether you are trying to lose weight or improve your fitness, our trained staff can help you with a personal plan to achieve your ambitions.
Squash Courts
We have two squash courts on campus which are very popular with staff and students alike; light cards are available from Finance in the Main Building or in the Multi-Gym. The courts feature an elevated viewing area for those who want to watch or get a taste for the sport.
Swimming Pool
The heated outdoor swimming pool is free to access and located in the heart of the campus behind Faccenda, what better way to start the day than a few lengths in the pool?
Fitness Studio
The Faccenda Fitness Studio is host to a variety of different classes, from zumba to fencing there's always something new and exciting going on!
Sports Hall
The sports hall is regularly used for training, including the bleep test and circuit training. The hall is available for booking with badminton, basketball and netball just some of the sports on offer.
Tennis Courts
Located outside Ward hall, the tennis courts are free to use and available on a first come first served basis.
All-weather Sports Pitch
The large all weather sports pitch can be used for football, hockey and netball with the ability to hold multiple sports at the same time. It can also be booked out by students for use outside of programmed events and is regularly in use at weekends and in the evenings for anything from a quick kick about to a full team training session.
Rugby/Football pitches
The rugby and football pitches are very active, with BUCS (British Universities and Colleges Sports) matches taking place on Wednesday afternoons and training the rest of the week.
Cricket Pitch
The cricket pitch takes pride of place in front of the Main Building and is the first thing that visitors to Harper Adams see, the pitch is maintained by the Grounds team who also provide practise nets for teams and groups.
The pitch is especially popular in summer when the annual staff vs students match takes place in front of the pavilion.
Bowling Green
The bowling green is located outside the Principals Office.
Shooting Ground
The shooting ground is one of the most popular sporting activities on campus, with remote operated traps and double traps; the Harper Adams team is one of the best in the country and prides itself on the facilities available.
Our surroundings
Our rural location means we have many quiet lanes and tracks which surround the campus and are ideal for bike rides, running or even just a walk in the countryside.
