Who can apply?
To be eligible to apply you must have applied for and been offered an unconditional or conditional place on the MSc Agro-ecology programme at Harper Adams University and must be starting your studies in Autumn 2016 and have achieved, or be expected to achieve a minimum of a 2:1 Honours degree at the point of application. If an applicant is awaiting his/her degree results at the point of application, the award may be offered conditionally upon confirmation of the applicant achieving a 2:1 Honours degree or higher.
The successful Scholarship recipient will receive an award valued at £4,000 for the academic year that they study on campus at the University. The successful applicant will receive the scholarship in 2 equal parts, to be paid via BACS transfer. The first to be paid in February 2017 following mandatory attendance at the DT Scholarship presentation and the second in May 2017.
Harper Adams University, in association with Organic Farmers & Growers, reserves the right to withdraw the scholarship if satisfactory academic progress is not maintained and/or there is a breakdown in the relationship between the parties and the scholar.
The scholar must remain registered as a full time student at Harper Adams; he/she must pass all modules of study during the continuation of their scholarship and he/she must submit at least one written report to the Chairman of the HAU Development Trust.
This is a competitive award and will be evaluated on the merit of the applicant and his/her application and interview. The decision of the Scholarship Panel is FINAL.
