Trophies presented at the Harper Ireland dinner
Paddy's Ball
As we all know, no-one enjoys the craic more than the Irish! And there's plenty of it to be had at Harper. A couple of key events are:
Harper Ireland dinner
The Harper Ireland dinner is an annual event hosted by Harper Adams University College. It happens every February and is open to Irish students past, present and future. This popular event is organised by the Harper Ireland student association, and is a chance to celebrate the achievements of the previous year and to look ahead, welcoming both the new Harper Ireland committee and prospective students.
The dinner includes guest speakers and award and scholarship presentations:
- Victor Truesdate award
- Presidents Cup
- Chairman's Cup
Prospective students fly over and enjoy a tour of the university campus, before attending the dinner in the evening. They spend the night on campus in the student accommodation before returning home. Transport from Ireland to the event is organised by staff at Harper.
Paddy's Ball
The Paddy's Ball is a black tie event organised by the Harper Ireland committee and is now a much anticipated date for the entire university college. It is hosted in a large marquee on campus every March and is open to the entire current student body. This is a great fund raising event for the Harper Ireland committee.
Previous events have included fairground rides, DJs and live music.
