Harper Adams Joint Co-operation Program with Beijing Agricultural College

Beijing Agricultural College Logo

Two new undergraduate programmes were launched in September 2004 as a result of the partnership between Beijing Agricultural College (BAC) and Harper Adams University College, England. The two degree programmes represent the beginning of a collaborative venture between the two higher education institutes allowing Chinese students to study international business, food quality and retailing in a multi-cultural environment. One of the most exciting and innovative aspects of the two degrees will be the opportunity to spend the final year of study in the UK and Europe, thereby putting their learned skills into practice in a different cultural environment.

Study Programmes

  • BSc (Hons) International Business Management
  • BSc/BSc (Hons) Food Quality Retail Management

Students will normally commence on the Foundation Course at BAC which includes intensive English language study. The two following years will also be taught in English at BAC, with the final year of study spent in the UK at Harper Adams University College. Successful completion of the final three years of the course will allow the student to graduate with both a Harper Adams and BAC degree.

It is expected that graduates of both programmes will develop the necessary international knowledge and skills to succeed in varied and rewarding careers in the rapidly developing international business sectors in China and elsewhere.

Further details in English and Chinese about the courses can be found at: www.bua.edu.cn/e_bac/
