Study Skills Support

General study skills support is available to all students and will be provided on a group basis.

Students will be encouraged to develop independence in the production and checking of their work. Help will be given to enable students to develop strategies that allow them to proofread their own work. The College network provides Texthelp Read & Write, which allows work to be read back to students. Earphones can be borrowed from the computer helpdesk for this purpose.

Some assistive technology is available on loan from the Learner Support Office. This includes:

  • Dictaphones
  • Franklin spellcheckers

Study skills support is available to all students on a group basis, and individual support is available for dyslexic students.
