You will need a minimum 2:1 or equivalent Bachelors degree in an appropriate subject. Further research experience or a Masters degree is preferable.
Projects which Harper Adams staff have obtained funding for will be advertised on our Vacancies website. Other sources of funding include charities or overseas students with funding from their own Government. Applicants from Commonwealth countries may be eligible for a Commonwealth Scholarship.

The minimum period of study for a PhD is 2 years and for an MPhil 1 year 3 months. However, most projects will take at least 3 years for PhD and 2 years for MPhil. Some projects with lengthy animal or crop field experiments may take up to 4 years.

Normally international students are only accepted for full-time study.
