Benefits

In businesses and organisations much work is undertaken in the form of projects. These differ from ‘normal’ work in that they are often undertaken by a temporary team for a short period. Some businesses, such as consultancies or contractors, are largely project-based in that they earn their income via undertaking projects on behalf of clients. Even in organisations which are not primarily project-based there are internal projects which are aimed at e.g. new product development, the introduction of new IT systems, or the development of improved internal processes or procedures.

Course Content

Through the completion of this course you will:

  • Evaluate and apply selected project methodologies, techniques, tools and concepts to plan and carry out a project
  • Identify the needs of a client and carry out a consulting intervention to address the client’s needs, including recommended actions
  • Select and use suitable project evaluation techniques to determine the success of a project in meeting its original objectives
  • Assess and evaluate your own personal characteristics which are important in contributing to a project, particularly: teamwork characteristics; capability to delegate; working with uncertainties; working to deadlines; accepting responsibility

Course Length: 2 days
