The Rural Employer Engagement Development Network

REEDNet is an innovative joint venture, led by Harper Adams University College and the Royal Agricultural College. We aim to transform rural education by creating strategic alliances with the entire network of land-based colleges in England, and with the country's leading providers of staff training and human resources development to the land-based sector.

We do this by working with our partners to develop a wide range of work-based and in-service programmes and modules. We will also work with firms and training providers to accredit existing programmes, adding a guarantee of quality through independent external recognition. This benefits employers because they can see the standards being achieved by their staff and their trainers, and it benefits staff through investment in their skills with clear evidence of what has been achieved.

We can draw on our track record of experience with a range of clients, including major names in the food industry, the animals sector (companion, farm and equine), fresh produce, government departments and agencies, regulatory organisations, professional institutions, farming cooperatives, major landowners and charitable bodies.

We can offer the skills, knowledge and experience of the academic and professional staff of the country's leading providers of agricultural, agri-business and rural education as well as the expertise of the Regional Food Academy.

We work with clients to identity and formulate their training needs. Our team of Business Development Managers is only a phone call or email away.

We can also support new initiatives through development funding for programmes which will lead to academic recognition. This can also open the door to ongoing financial support from the Higher Education Funding Council for England.
