Studley College Trust Scholarship

The Studley College Trust Scholarship is open to 2nd year and 4th year BSc, BEng/MEng or final year FdSc students enrolled in full-time education at Harper Adams University.

Students must be committed to a UK land-based career, which would normally fit into one of the supported categories: Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Marketing and Food Technology.   Applicants must be a British or Irish national and be between the ages of 18-30 except cases of genuine career change. The Studley College Trust wish to support young people who are having their career progress obstructed by lack of funds, having utilised available allowances, loans and other financial support. As part of the application, you are required to complete a financial assessment form.

If you are struggling with insufficient funds and are worried about coping on limited resources you may well be eligible. Please feel free to contact the Development Trust in confidence if you have queries about your eligibility.

Scholarship funds may be awarded to fund:

Accommodation costs (college accommodation, off campus lodgings or rent)

Food

Transport

Books & study materials

Protective clothing where this is for necessary parts of the curriculum

External tests/examination fees

Course study trips

The Scholarship

The successful scholarship recipient(s) will receive a one-off payment valued up to a maximum of £2,000. The award will be payable in two equal parts; half to be paid in February 2023 and the balance in May 2023.

This award will be evaluated on financial need, the submitted application, academic skills and interview. The decision of the Studley College Trust Scholarship Panel is FINAL.

**Eligible land-based industry study areas:

Studley College Trust WILL normally consider applications for craft, through to management, courses in: Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Fish Farming, Food Technology, Agricultural or Horticultural Marketing, Arboriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Game keeping and Estate Skills

Studley College Trust WILL NOT normally consider applications from students wishing to pursue courses in Veterinary Science, Animal Behaviour, Food Science, Farriery, Floristry, Animal Care, Environmental Studies, Countryside and Land Management, Equine Mangement or Landscape Architecture
