BQP Scholarship - Pilgrim's Pride (includes one year placement)

The BQP Scholarship is open to all 2nd year BSc and 1st year FdSc students at Harper Adams University who have an ambition to follow a career in pig production, animal science or the meat industry. This is an exciting opportunity open to UK residents only.  A placement at BQP (Pilgrim's UK) must be relevant to your course area.  Please consult your Placement Manager for guidance.

The successful scholar will need to hold a full UK drivers licence.

The Scholarship

If awarded, the successful recipient will receive:

  • A significant contribution towards their education of £4,500.
  • Employment with BQP (Pilgrim's UK) during their placement year.
  • Subject to a review at the end of placement with BQP, there may be an opportunity of further funding in the scholar’s final academic year.

A condition of your scholarship is that you undertake your placement year with the sponsoring firm.

The award will be paid in two equal parts; half to be paid in February 2023 and the remaining balance in May 2023.

This is a competitive award which will be evaluated on merit of the submitted application, academic achievements to date and interview.

The decision of the BQP Scholarship Panel is FINAL.

Deadline for Submission of Application: 12pm Noon 21 November 2022

The BQP Scholarship includes a placement therefore you must submit your application via the Student Dashboard  Paper copies will not be accepted.

Please note - you may ONLY apply for a maximum of 3 placement based scholarships.
