CLA Charitable Trust Scholarship

The CLA Charitable Trust Scholarship is open to 2nd Year BSc (Hons) students studying full-time on one of the following courses at Harper Adams University:

  • BSc (Hons) Agriculture
  • BSc (Hons) Agriculture with Animal Science
  • BSc (Hons) Agriculture with Crop Management
  • BSc (Hons) Agriculture with Farm Business Management
  • BSc (Hons) Agriculture with Mechanisation
  • BSc (Hons) Agri-Business
  • BSc (Hons) Rural Enterprise and Land Management
  • BSc (Hons) Rural Property Management
  • BSc (Hons) Environmental Land Management
  • BSc (Hons) Countryside Management
  • BSc (Hons) Wildlife Conservation and Environmental Management

The CLA Charitable Trust, in making these scholarships, is keen to support students, from backgrounds that are traditionally underrepresented in the rural economy. We are looking for students who will bring fresh and innovative ideas and ultimately become leaders, tackling the challenges facing the industry.

This is a competitive award, evaluated on the merit of the submitted application, academic achievements to date and interview. Where there are two applicants of equal merit, preference will be given to the applicant from a background traditionally underrepresented in the rural economy.

The successful recipients will receive an award of between £1,000 and £4,000 for the academic years 2022-23 and 2024-25 whilst they are enrolled at Harper Adams University. The award will be paid for each year in two equal parts, half in February and the remaining balance in May.
