Through the generosity of the Shropshire Chamber of Agriculture, an Award of up to £500 is being offered to Shropshire YFC members. Students from Walford College and Harper Adams University who are also members of a Young Farmers’ Club within Shropshire are encouraged to apply.
Applicants will be encouraged to use the bursary to further his/her development through one of the following:
Age: The Award is open to any paid up member of the Shropshire Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs, aged between 18 and 26 years, along with students from Walford College and Harper Adams University.
For SFYFC Members - Your application should be made on the enclosed form and submitted to the County Office by 30th September 2014.
Where the bursary forms only a part of the total cost of the proposal, the applicant will be expected to specify what additional activities the Chamber’s bursary will allow them to undertake.
The applications will be judged by the President of the Chamber and members of Council, and if appropriate, interviews will be held.
The winning individual will be expected to carry out their project with ‘Press Coverage’ and if appropriate invite the judges to view the finished/running project, or alternatively send in written and photographic details when complete.
The winner will be required to report back to the Shropshire Chamber of Agriculture at their AGM in February.
