The Rabobank Agri-food Scholarship 2017-18

Who can apply?

First year BSc students studying at Harper Adams University for an undergraduate degree in the following courses:

  • All Agriculture related courses
  • Agri-business BSc (Hons)
  • Agri-food Marketing with Business Studies BSc (Hons)

The Scholarship

The successful Scholarship recipient will receive an award valued at £9,000 for years 2 & 4 of their academic study. In their third year, the scholar will be required to undertake a 12 month placement with Marks & Spencer, the industry partner, working in association with Rabobank. Please note: the choice of placement provider is non-negotiable and failure to undertake a placement with Marks & Spencer will result in the withdrawal of the Scholarship and the scholar will be required to repay the value of the Rabobank Scholarship.

The scholar must remain registered as a full time student at Harper Adams; they must pass all modules of study during the continuation of their scholarship and they must submit at least one written report annually to the Development Trust.

The recipient must be of good academic standing. This is a competitive award and will be evaluated on the merit of the applicant and his/her application and interview. The decision of the Scholarship Panel is FINAL.

Harper Adams University, in association with Rabobank and Marks & Spencer, reserves the right to withdraw the scholarship if satisfactory academic progress is not maintained and/or there is a breakdown in the relationship between the parties and the scholar.
