RUAS Scholarship to fund attendance at the 2016 Commonwealth Agricultural Conference in Singapore

Are you interested in attending the 2016 Commonwealth Agricultural Conference in Singapore?

Are you member (or interested in becoming a member) of the Royal Ulster Agricultural Society?

Are you under 40 years of age and have a passion for Agriculture?

If so then you are eligible to apply for a fantastic opportunity with RUAS for funding to attend the 2016 Commonwealth Agricultural Conference in Singapore!

The conference is a weeklong trip in November 2016 (term time) and so would best be suited to those students at Harper Adams who graduate this coming September. 

The conference is taking place in Singapore from 2-4 November and will be preceded by a forum for Next Generation delegates (held on 31 October and 1 November).

The active involvement of Next Generation’s in the leadership of the society is essential to its future strategy. To fill this role a NG must be:

  • Forward thinking
  • Able to plan
  • Have organisational ability 
  • Be a good communicator

If you would like to be considered for the scholarship, please apply by emailing colin.mcdonald@kingshall.co.uk and explaining in no more than 1000 words how you feel you meet or consider you have the potential to meet the above 4 criteria. Please include solid examples of things you have done to date which reinforce and provide evidence for your application.

Deadline

Emails must be received on or before 27 April 2016.

Interviews will take place (either via Skype or in Belfast) between 3-6 May 2016.
