The Royal Welsh Agricultural Society Scholarship 2017/18 Sponsored by Waitrose

The Scholarship aims to encourage students of merit to develop their potential through academic achievement and thereby fitting them to make a more effective contribution to the agricultural industry.

The scholarship is valued at £3,000 and is aimed at those students from Wales currently studying at Foundation level who wish to ‘Top Up’ but lack the financial means and are otherwise unable to obtain the necessary financial support to pursue their chosen course.

Who is eligible to apply

  • To qualify for the scholarship the candidate’s registered home address must be in Wales for a period of not less than five years immediately prior to the date of application.
  • Students must be in their 3rd year of an FdSc course and are planning on topping up to a BSc in the next academic year, studying one of the following topics:
    • Agriculture
    • Agri-business
    • Agricultural Engineering
    • Agri-food
    • Animal Science
    • Countryside Management
    • Land Management
    • Rural Environment
