Green Lanes Group Scholarship (includes one year work placement)

The Green Lanes Scholarship is open to 2nd year BSc or 1st  year FdSc students studying at Harper Adams University who are interested in pursuing a career in mixed farming with Green Lanes.

Only students eligible to work in the UK should apply and applicants MUST possess a full UK driving licence.

Please note:  a placement year with Green Lanes must be suitable for your course area.  Should you require further clarification plese discuss with your Placement Manager.

The Scholarship

Green Lanes Farming may award two scholarships and, if awarded, the successful recipients will receive:

  • a significant contribution towards their studies of £5,000 in the year prior to placement
  • Employment with Green Lanes during their placement year
  • Subject to a review at the end of the placement with Green Lanes, there may be an opportunity for further funding in the scholar's final academic year
  • Upon graduation there may also be an opportunity of a career with Green Lanes

A condition of your scholarship is that you undertake your placement year with Green Lanes.

The award will be paid in two equal parts; half to be paid in February 2023 and the remaining balance in May 2023.

This is a competitive award which will be evaluated on merit of the submitted application, academic achievements to date and interview. The decision of the Green Lanes Scholarship panel is FINAL.

Deadline for Submission of Application: 12pm Noon Monday 21 November 2022

The Green Lanes Scholarship includes a placement, therefore you must submit your application via the Student Dashboard placement pages.  Paper copies will not be accepted.

Please note: you may only apply for a maximum of three placement based scholarships.
