Hay Farms is a family owned, managed and run broiler chicken and turkey farming business, with the family owning and operating sites from South Wales to North Yorkshire.  The business continues to see significant growth on the back of customer requests for them to increase their farming capacity. This success is a testament to the team that cares for and farms the birds every day and the company is looking to grow their talent base further by bringing in more key team members.  The Hay Farms' team is led by three brothers, all of whom are Harper Adams graduates.

Hay Farms may award one scholarship and, if awarded, the successful recipient will receive:

    • A significant contribution towards their education of £3,000 in the year prior to placement.
    • Employment with Hay Farms during their placement year
    • Accommodation will be provided with gas, electricity, council tax and water paid for. This will be in a house which will be shared with another placement student from the sister company, Pathway
      Farming Ltd.
    • As a rapidly growing poultry business, there may be opportunities within Hay Farms upon graduation

The award will be paid in two equal parts; half to be paid in February 2023 and the remaining balance in May 2023.

Deadline for submission of application:  12pm Noon Monday 21 November 2022
