Fees and funding - Students from Scotland | Harper Adams University

Support

Students from Scotland

For students studying a standard undergraduate degree at a UK institution outside Scotland the main support available is:

Tuition fee loan

This covers the full cost of your fees. The amount that you borrow does not depend on household income. This money is paid directly to Harper Adams University.

Student loan for living costs

You can choose how much of this loan you want to take. If you apply for a loan, the Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS) will send your loan information to the Student Loans Company (SLC). They will set up your account and send you a payment schedule. Payments are made to students termly.

Bursaries

There are two bursaries available -  the ‘Young Students Bursary’ (YSB) and ‘Independent Students Bursary’ (ISB). The amount you receive will depend on your household income.

Note: In your placement year, the total amount of funding you can receive is reduced.
