As all Harper Adams students are on practical courses, from Spring term, we have phased the return of students. This commenced before the easing of lockdown in accordance with Government Guidance to ensure that we could prioritise scheduling the most essential practical elements needed for completion or progression of studies, for example, those sessions which could not be moved or with specific deadlines. This also assisted in reducing the number of students needing to travel and managing risk as much as possible, at a time when risk factors remained high, both locally and nationally.
At the start of the Summer term, as lockdown is now easing (and on the basis that restrictions continue to lift, if the government roadmap goes to plan) we are now able to roll out the continuation of this phased return, into summer term, to all other course areas, as they all include either practical elements and/or require access to practical / specialist facilities or equipment. This means we are able to support the return of all students, who are able to do so, provided that we continue to carefully manage the situation, including testing.
Students are advised to continue to monitor University email, stay in touch with their course tutors and remain connected with student services for wellbeing support.
Full guidance for students can be found on Moodle, our Virtual Learning Environment (requires a student or staff log-in). Copies of all our communications to students can be found in the Learning Hub for reference for both students and staff.
