    Extended degree programmes are a means of accessing degree study should you not meet the entry requirements for honours degree programmes. 

    This course in Wildlife Conservation and Environmental Management is aimed at students who wish to pursue a practical career in wildlife conservation, and provides hands-on experience in the techniques of undertaking practical wildlife surveys for a range of species. 

    Wildlife conservation is a dynamic subject area and there are continual evolutionary changes within this discipline. Current media interest in wildlife/species conservation, continue to dominate the headlines and will be studied throughout this course with dedicated and specialist staff. Students pursuing a career in this fascinating area will be introduced to the key concepts of wildlife conservation, biodiversity, wildlife identification, animal behaviour and welfare.  

    Entry requirements

    You must be at least 17½ years old, and have 6 GCSE passes at grade C/4 or above, to include English language, maths and science (or 5 GCSE passes at grade C/4 or above, to include English language, maths and science if you also have a level 3 qualification such as A level or BTEC) . The required GCSEs must be completed prior to application.

    Suitable applicants will be invited to participate in an interview where they will be able to discuss their course choice in more detail. Interviews will take place on-line with the course manager.
