Extended degree programmes are a means of accessing degree study should you not meet the entry requirements for honours degree programmes. These five-year courses replace some of our former foundation degree and extended foundation degree programmes. Candidates will be assessed at the end of their first year of study and progress to either an ordinary degree (BSc) or Honours Degree (BSc Hons).
You must be at least 17½ years old, have 88 UCAS points (to include A2 Biology at grade C and one other science) or DMM (inc. some units specified at D) at BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma. Applicants must also have 5 GCSEs at grade A/B 6/7 including Science and English Language, and Maths at grade B/6 or above.
YYou must also have 2 weeks relevant work experience required before interview (obtained within 24 months of September 2019), and two weeks completed before the start of year 1 of a BSc programme, 4 weeks in total. This experience must be hands-on experience, working with horses and dogs.
Suitable applicants will be invited to attend an interview where they will be able to discuss their course choice in more detail.
