I'm a Day Visitor, are there any catering facilities available?

Yes there are catering facilities on site, payment by cash or card is acceptable. A full listing of our on-site catering can be found in our Meet, eat and drink section

I will be accompanying pupils from a school, what catering facilities are available?

In this case, we would advise you to bring you own food to the event, however, hot and cold beverages will be available.

I am a member of a team, do I need to register?

Registration for this event is now closed.

I would like to attend the whole duration of the event, how do I register?

Registration for this event is now closed.

I need an invitation letter for visa purposes what do I do?

To process your request, the following documents are required to meet our Home Office regulations:

  1. Scanned copy - valid passport.
  2. Official Document - Letter from your Head of Department/Faculty confirming your requirement and participation, complete with contact details of Head of Department/Faculty
  3. If you have registered, include your Field Robot Event registration number, if applicable.

Do I get an invoice for payments made?

Yes, you do get an itemised invoice, once payment has been made.

My institute does not do online payments - how do I book?

It is now common practice that payments are done online, please approach the correct authority at your institute to make the booking.

I am trying to obtain funding to support my travel, can I get a quote to provide the funders?

Sorry, this is not possible.

When you mean camping, is a large tent, similar to last year?

Sorry, no it is not, it is a space/pitch. Space is for you to set up your own tent on the space/pitch booked and allocated.

Are you providing field beds (similar to last year)?

Sorry, No field beds provided, you have to bring your own.

Are you providing small tents?

Sorry, no tents provided.

Is the cost of camping £30 per one person?

The cost £30 is for space/pitch for a maximum of 4 persons sharing.

Where is the camping ground located?

100m from competition area.

What services are provided on camping site (toilets, showers, kitchen area, electricity, etc.)?

Toilets and showers are provided 100m from the camp site. No kitchen or electricity provided.

Regarding food, does the price of food on the 14th and 15th include breakfast, lunch and supper?

No, it does not include Breakfast. If you are camping - Full English Breakfast is available at the Graze Café on campus for £7.00

We are camping, where is the dining room located and at what times is food served?

100m from the camp site.

Catering Facilities available to visitors are:

Graze Café - Serving Full English Breakfast, Lunch ranging from freshly made baguettes, hot food and salad bar. Opening time: 0800 – 1500h.

Kaldi Coffee Shop - Serving speciality coffee and tea, sandwiches, panini, and home baked cakes. Opening time: 0930h – 1800h

Is WiFi available at event and camping locations?

Yes, in the competition area.
