Following a career in technical and managerial positions in IBM, Mike became an Associate Director, then Partner, in Coopers and Lybrand, where he led the development of the firm’s approach to corporate transformation. He was involved in many major consulting engagements, including with the BBC and GKN. Mike went on to become the Managing Director of the European Consulting arm of the Stanford Research Institute, a leading American think-tank, which led him to board-level work with Scottish Power, Cellnet, Racal and other major clients. In the late 1990s, Mike became a member of the Group Executive (Management Board) of Allied Irish Banks where he was responsible for Human Resources.
He has been a regular guest lecturer at the Irish Management Institute and the National College of Ireland. Mike is now an independent businessman and acts as an adviser to a number of firms as well as managing his own small estate in Herefordshire.
