After qualifying from Murdoch University in Western Australia in 2006, Leander worked as a general veterinary practitioner in the main dairy region of South Australia. Since moving to the UK, she has worked in a variety of veterinary roles, including farm animal, companion animal and mixed practice. Her roles have included private practice, charity practice and Official Veterinarian duties. She joined the teaching team at Harper Adams in 2013, completing her post-graduate certificate in Veterinary Education. Her special interests are dairy medicine and pain management.
