Lavinia joined Harper Adams University in a temporary post in February 2014. As Facilities and Sustainability Manager Lavinia’s team includes Business Services (Reception, Reprographics, Facilities & Compliance), Housekeeping and Sustainability (Carbon Management, Utilities etc.), whilst also working with the wider Estates team on compliance, security and portering services. Lavinia reports to the Head of Estates & Facilities.
Prior to joining Harper Adams Lavinia spent 5 years working for an Aircraft service/maintenance company, procuring aircraft parts from all over the world, and working on 2 major projects to retro-fit 2 ex-commercial aircraft for the MoD ready for Afghanistan, working to extremely tight deadlines and budget limitations.
Lavinia also spent 16 years working in various roles and locations for the energy company Midland Electricity, during which time she completed the NEBOSH (Health & Safety) qualifications and a BTEC National Certificate in Electrical Engineering. She was also involved implementing a number of projects to improve service and customer satisfaction.
Lavinia has worked in a variety of roles but has always used her expertise in understanding data and processes to effect changes which provide benefits for the companies she has worked for, as well as colleagues.
