Shannon McNiece, BSc (Hons) Agriculture with Animal Science student, has received a Gressingham Foods Scholarship at Harper Adams University.
Shannon, 20, from Armagh, Northern Ireland said: “I feel honoured and excited to be working with Gressingham foods next year. I’d like to thank Gressingham foods for providing this excellent opportunity for placement, as well as future career prospects.”
She added: “This scholarship will contribute towards supplementing my technical knowledge, as funding would be used to purchase new books and travel costs.
“My ambitions are for a career in the poultry industry, particularly with ducks, which will increase my knowledge on bird husbandry and welfare. Gressingham foods will provide me with the opportunity of a long term career, to gain a greater insight of the growing duck industry.”
