Suggest books for purchase

Please do let us know of any books which would be useful for us to purchase, either email us or use the online suggestion form.

In order to fulfil student demand we need to know about books you suggest people use in assignments as well as those on reading lists. Please do let us know as soon as you can so that we can ensure that the students have what they need.

Reading Lists online

Reading Lists are easy to create and manage. Training is available through the library. Alternatively you can request that the library manages your lists, in this case you will have to notify us throughout the year of any amendments you require.

Once created, reporting and statistical analysis can be used to show how your lists are being used.

Scanning

If you are going to recommend that many students read a small portion of a book or a particular journal article we can upload an electronic copy of a key text onto the Learning Hub if it is covered by our copyright licence. The limit is one chapter or 10% from a book and 10% or one article from a journal issue, whichever is the greater. The licence means that only library staff are permitted to scan documents for this purpose. To use this service please complete a request form.

Keeping up to date with new journal content

Zetoc is a service provided by the British Library which provides you with the latest tables of contents of journals. You need to login with your Harper password details. The service works best if you use Firefox or Chrome instead of Internet Explorer.
