New students are given an induction to show them how to use the Library. What is involved depends on the type of course you are taking, but typically involves activities or a tour of the physical library for those on campus regularly or a session on the electronic resources for distance learners.
Sessions to help with finding information successfully are also given to new Postgraduates and both first and second year Undergraduates. Fourth years are offered further training to help with their dissertations.
Other group sessions are offered during the year as they are needed.

Just come and ask the Librarian for help with finding information, referencing or any other question related to the Library or information. You can also book an appointment if you prefer. We are very happy to help you, just come and ask or email or telephone us.
