The well equiped gym is open seven days a week from 7am to 9pm with a range of cardio equipment including rowing machines, treadmills, crosstrainers, exercise bikes and Stairmasters. We have an extended freeweights section with dumbells from 1kg - 50kg and olympic barbells and bumper plates.
All students are welcome to become members, each completing an induction with one of our Gym Assistants to ensure they're safe and comfortable using all the facilities. The Harper Fitness staff are always happy to give advice on training and how to build your own training program to achieve your goals. With daily advice, hints and tips on Facebook it's a must for any student who wants to keep in shape.
Located in the Faccenda building the Dance and Fitness studio is host to a variety of different classes, including Yoga, Pilates, Boxercise and Taekwon-Do. There's something for everyone, no experience necessary!
The University has two Multi Use Games Areas (MUGAs) which are set up for tennis, 5-a-side and basketball. These are free for students to use and a token for floodlit evening use is available from our Finance Office.
