Harper Adams University is the UK’s only provider of postgraduate courses in entomology and related areas, with a particular focus on conservation and agriculture.
During a recent visit to the campus, HRH The Princess Royal, officially opened a new facility dedicated to this subject area - the Jean Jackson Entomology Building.
This provides Controlled Temperature and Lighting rooms (CTL) in addition to general laboratory facilities, and was largely funded by a donation of £200,000 from the Jean Jackson Charitable Trust.
But why study the science of insects? Watch the video to find out why.
