Professional Development

Harper Adams Professional & Career Development Services provides a one stop source of information on the education and training currently available to employers in the land based and rural sectors.

The following information sets out the opportunities for continuing vocational education, professional development and high level training offered by Britain’s largest land-based sector college.

What can Harper Adams offer you?

Service

A complete staff development analysis and guidance service for companies and individuals enrolled on programmes.

Flexibility

There is no time frame, fixed route or method of learning.

Accessibility

Learning is not restricted to any particular location and can involve specific projects at work.

Qualifications

Your staff can work towards recognised qualifications and be given credit for previous qualifications and experience.

Working with you

Employers can now negotiate a study programme to suit workloads and business needs. Centre staff are able to determine the training needs of your staff and help you select from the many options available to arrive at the most suitable and cost effective form of staff development to suit your business needs.

This can be through a combination of:

  • Short courses
  • Day release and part time attendance of college modules
  • Work based learning
  • Research modules
  • Tailor made courses
  • Independent study
  • Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL)
  • Accreditation of Company Short Courses

This means that your staff development needs can be met in a way which is relevant, flexible - in terms of length of time and place and method of delivery, accessible, and cost effective, with the minimum disruption to workloads.

High Quality Provision

Everyone registering with Harper Adams have access to the expertise of our highly qualified specialist staff and to the extensive range of resources and facilities available to full time students.
