SOWAP, Soil and Water Protection - studying the effect of conservation tillage on farmland birds, soil and surface-active invertebrates and seeds. www.sowap.org. .

Defra - Cereal-based Whole Crop Silages: a potential conservation mechanism for farmland birds, in conjunction with RSPB and CAER.

RSPB - The effect of farmland manure application on soil invertebrates and soil properties and the implications for breeding birds.
