George Crawford Legacy Trust Scholarship 2025-26

The George Crawford Legacy Trust Scholarship aims to give young people "a leg up" in the world, and is offered to students at Harper Adams University in memory of agriculture student George Crawford.

The George Crawford Legacy Trust website has been created in George's honour.

Who can apply?

The George Crawford Legacy Trust Scholarship is open to all Second Year BSc/BEng/MEng, Final Year FdSC, BSc/BEng, and Year 4 MEng students from all course areas at Harper Adams University. In addition, students who have completed the Foundation Year Programme at Harper Adams, and are now in Year 1 of a full-time FdSc or Bachelor’s level degree course are also eligible to apply.

Preference will be given to those students who have completed the HAU Foundation Year Programme (formerly the Extended Foundation Degree/ Extended Degree Programme), and also to students who, at time of the interview, are not in receipt of any other award.

The scholarship

The successful scholarship recipient will receive a one-off payment of up to £2,000. The award will be payable in two equal parts; half to be paid in March 2026 and the remaining balance in May 2026.
