PLACEMENT - BerryWorld Scholarship 2026/27

The BerryWorld Scholarship is open to all 2nd year BSc or 1st year FdSc students studying at Harper Adams who are interested in pursuing a career in the soft fruit industry with BerryWorld.

The scholarship

BerryWorld may award one scholarship and, if awarded, the successful recipient will receive:

• A significant contribution towards their education of £4,500
• Employment with BerryWorld during their placement year with a salary of £27,500
• 1:1 business coaching support during the placement year
• Subject to a review at the end of placement with BerryWorld there may be an opportunity of further funding in the scholar’s final academic year
• There may also be an opportunity of joining Year 2 of the company graduate trainee programme after graduation, with a salary of £31,000

Placement

A condition of your scholarship is that you undertake your placement year with BerryWorld.

Please note: a placement year with BerryWorld must be suitable for your course area.  Should you require further clarification please discuss with your Placement Manager.

As the BerryWorld Scholarship includes a placement, you must submit your application via the Student Dashboard placement pages.  Paper copies will not be accepted.

Please note: you may only apply for a maximum of three placement based scholarships.

Application and award

This is a competitive award which will be evaluated on merit of the submitted application, academic achievements to date and interview. The decision of the BerryWorld Scholarship panel is FINAL.

Deadline for Submission of Application: 12 noon Monday, 16 November 2026

The award will be paid in two equal parts; half to be paid in February and the remaining balance in May.
