    Galebreaker Scholarship (with one year work placement)

    The Galebreaker Scholarship is open to all 2nd year BSc and 1st year FdSc students studying a livestock related degree at Harper Adams University, who are interested in a career in understanding how optimum environmental conditions promote healthy livestock production.  A placement year as a Ventilation and Animal Welfare Analyst with Galebreaker must be suitable for your course area. 

    Opportunities

     If awarded the successful recipient will receive:

    • A significant contribution towards their education of £4,500
    • Employment with Galebreaker during their placement year
    • Subject to a review at the end of placement with Galebreaker there may be an opportunity of further funding in the scholar’s final academic year, or even permanent employment opportunities at Galebreaker upon completion of your studies.

    A condition of your scholarship is that you undertake your placement year with the sponsoring firm.

    The award will be paid in two equal parts; half in February 2025 and the remaining balance in May 2025.

    This is a competitive award, which will be evaluated on merit of the submitted application, academic achievements to date and interview.  The decision of the Scholarship Panel is FINAL.

    The  Galebreaker Scholarship includes a placement, therefore you must submit your application through the Student Dashboard. Paper copies will not be accepted.

    Please note: you may only apply for a maximum of three placement based scholarships.
