UG - WD Morrow Award 2026-27

This opportunity is open to all students from the Island of Ireland who have returned from their placement year

Applicants who have undertaken all or part of their placement year abroad are particularly encouraged to apply

Write a press article of approximately of approximately 800 to 1,000 words for the agriculture, food or other technical press and media in Ireland  (Microsoft Word format).

Your submission should:

• Describe and reflect on your placement experience.
• Describe your impressions of living and working in a different country or new location.
• Highlight the personal and professional skills you developed during the placement.
• Share the impact the placement has had on your future aspirations, confidence, and development in the Agri-food sector.

Please submit a selection of accompanying photographs in JPEG format with caption.

• Images should be at least 1MB in size to ensure good quality.
• Photographs should be sent as separate files and not embedded within the Word document.
