Student shortlisted for Best Placement Award at Industry awards evening

Sophie York, 21, from Eccleshall, Staffordshire, is among eight shortlisted for the Best Student Placement Award at the prestigious Institute of Hospitality Awards. She studies on the BSc Food Nutrition and Wellbeing degree programme and is currently on placement with the Harper catering department.

While on placement Sophie has been designing menus, marketing catering events, managing the catering department's social media accounts and developing links with local companies to champion food sustainability. 

We wish Sophie luck as she heads off to London for a three-course dinner at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge.
