Joshua Kings, MEng Agricultural Engineering student, has been awarded the Alamo Group – Bomford Turner Scholarship at Harper Adams University.
Joshua, 23, from Monmouth, Monmouthshire, said: “Ever since childhood, I’ve developed a fascination for farm machinery, which has evolved into a deep interest while studying at Harper.
“While at Harper, I realised that the need for more efficient and environmentally friendly machinery in the vegetation maintenance industry, which has led to the decision of basing my master’s thesis on this topic.
“I’m extremely grateful to be receiving the Alamo Group – Bomford Turner Scholarship as it’ll help me by financially supporting my research.
“I’m sincerely honoured to have been selected, and would like to take this opportunity to thank them. I appreciate the panel’s recognition of my personal efforts and academic achievements.
“I also highly value the scholarship application experience which I’ve gained from the process as I believe this will be invaluable for future job applications.”
