After setting 36 traps out last night in Newpool Plantation for the survey skills module, an early start was rewarded with 12 trapped animals. The group found Bank Voles, Yellow Neck Mice and a Wood Mouse. I was able to catch a Wood Mouse, where I weighed it, sexed it, aged it and marked it. All the information was recorded and will be used for research purposes in the future.
The photo is of me with my Wood Mouse. Just another thing Haper does to get us out into the field and doing some practical work. A great thing to bulk out the CV with!
