Max Randall, 22 from Harrogate in North Yorkshire, has been awarded the Rabobank in Association with Marks & Spencer, Clyde Higgs Staffordshire and Birmingham Agricultural Society scholarships to aid in his studies at Harper Adams. Max, BSc (Hons) Agri-food Marketing with Business Studies, chose his course as it provided a fantastic understanding of the entire 'field to fork' process and supply chain management.
On being awarded three scholarships Max said: "I am extremely grateful to Rabobank and M&S for the opportunity, as it was an invaluable and enjoyable experience where I learnt an enormous amount; which has significantly helped my studies in my fourth year. Post placement, M&S and Rabobank have been very supportive. Rabobank have been providing vital insight for my dissertation on Vertical Farming and ex colleagues at M&S providing support in my assignments.
"I applied for the Clyde Higgs and Staffordshire and Birmingham Scholarships as I am eager to further my education, either through undertaking a master’s degree, or courses through the Agri-food Training Partnership. These scholarships will significantly contribute to this end, and I am extremely grateful to these sponsors for enabling this opportunity.
"I am grateful to all my sponsors as they have opened the door to many opportunities, from furthering my education to being able to attend great events such as FoodBytes and The Oxford Farming Conference, to increasing my employment opportunities."
