Yesterday (Tuesday 4 September), Harper Adams University successfully hosted a Zimbabwe Trade Delegation.
Tom Hill, who is the Head of Trade and Investment at the Department for International Trade, British Embassy, Harare, Zimbabwe, led the delegation.
The delegation comprised of individuals from ZimTrade (Zimbabwe Trade Promotion Body) as well as farming businesses that are involved mainly in fresh produce production.
The purpose of the visit to HAU was to come and see the modern and best practices in agronomy particularly in fresh produce production as well as explore export markets. This included presentations from Dr Jim Monaghan, Dr Matt Back, Dr Lucy Crockford and Dr Jonathan Cooper before a tour of the university campus.
The delegates were impressed with what HAU is doing and we hope to strengthen partnerships and collaborations going forward.
