As it is Reading Week at Harper Adams, now is the perfect time for students to get out into the field and make their learning practical. Whether this is attending extra-curricular courses or scouting the local area for case studies, it is a great opportunity to work on your studies framed by your own interests.
However, you don’t always have to pursue this alone! The Countryside, Wildlife and Geography department are currently on a field course to Anglesey to survey forests and sand dunes alike. Led by Dr Andy Wilcox, Simon Irvin and Emma Pierce-Jenkins, the final year students are exploring the coast line and Newborough Forest, studying the variety of environments and wildlife within them that the Anglesey coast has to offer.
This hands on experience highlights how dynamic studies can be at Harper Adams. If you’re interested in finding out more about these courses for yourself, you can join us on our Open Day on Sunday 17th November 2019 and get a feel for exactly what the Countryside, Wildlife and Geography departments could be like for you.
