What can I learn from an environmental land management degree?

Interested in studying about the environment and how to make a difference? We’ve launched a new degree in environmental land management to help you do just that! But what can you learn from an environmental land management degree?

Talking about the aims of the course, Lecturer Nicola Randall said: “The new degree really gives students the opportunity to learn about sustainable land management, species identification and to consider contemporary issues such as climate change and pollution. We aim to give students the necessary skills to help them identify issues and solve them in real world situations.”

As a multidisciplinary field, an environmental land management degree at Harper Adams will equip you with the skills you need to become an effective practitioner. In doing so, students will learn the best strategies to help protect the environment at national, European and international levels.

A broad understanding of the environment and its management will help to reward land managers with fruitful understanding of the best practice in their working world.  We value real world experience and encourage students at every opportunity to take their learning out into the field by researching and engaging with professionalsm, using what they discover to inform their wider work at the university.
