Please read the following important notice which provides guidance on returning books to the Library.
All loans have been extended until October 2020, except for those students who finish this summer where books will be due at the end of their course. If you are a continuing student returning in October, we ask that you keep hold of the books until the new academic year.
For those of you finishing this summer or are about to begin placement, it is still your responsibility to return the books to the Library. As many of you either live on campus, live locally or are planning to return to the area/campus shortly to retrieve belongings, we are actively encouraging you to return these books as a priority.
Books can be returned:
The Library Foyer is open 24/7.
Ideally, books should be placed in plastic bags and clearly labelled, with a list of the titles enclosed and the return date. Before depositing in one of the above ways, you are advised to take a photo of the books you are returning, as a receipt - obviously ensuring either the books themselves are visible or the list of titles. Please use the hand sanitiser provided on campus and be mindful of social distancing rules while inside the Library entrance.
Books will not be removed from accounts immediately; please allow at least 7 days for returns to be processed as it is subject to when we can be on campus.
Finishing students: you will not be charged fines for late books, but please do note that any books that are not returned by the end of the summer (31 August), will be processed as ‘lost’ items and levied replacement costs, which can be expensive. To avoid this expense, take action now.
During this time, it is important to be in contact, so if you have any concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact the Library Team on libhelp@harper-adams.ac.uk
