For well over a decade CLAAS has been offering a second year undergraduate Engineering student at Harper Adams University the opportunity to apply for the CLAAS Scholarship, valued at up to £9,000, coupled with a one year paid work placement at the CLAAS HQ in Harsewinkel, Germany. This year's scholarship launched with a video presentation from CLAAS UK HR Manager Sarah Steggall and scholarship recipient Will Flittner, now back at Harper Adams after his placement in Germany to study for the final year of his BEng Hons Agricultural Engineering degree course
Will talked about his experience living in Germany, in accommodation provided by CLAAS, the excellent support he received from the company and his varied placement role. He described the highlight for him as "Working and living with people from all different cultures from all over the world". Summing up his experience as a CLAAS Scholar, Will said it was "absolutely fantastic, loved every minute of it and I've met some great friends and contacts for life".
This year's successful recipient will get the chance to work with CLAAS UK, before heading over to Germany in 2021 to take on a role in the Advanced Development Department in Harsewinkel.
